Shoes!
So my feet have been my main problem lately in terms of pain. I hate hate hate it! Especially when I get up after sleeping and they are still sore! I am on the hunt for a good pair of shoes that will help my feet out. So my question to you readers with RA, what brand of shoes do you wear? Or even insoles ? Thanks!

I find that being barefoot is the best, though that doesn't really work in the real world, unless you work behind a really tall desk like me! :)
ReplyDeleteI guess I'm still searching for good shoes. Shoes with good support seem to not like swollen feet. Lame!
I vote barefoot as much as possible or within some wool socks if you have rhynauds. I do so my feet get cold easy. If I must wear shoes, open toe flats are best for me. Tazzy

Rockports are pretty awesome, though expensive. It's like walking on the world's softest, supportive mattress, or maybe like walking on really nice foam. Regardless, it cradles your feet, which is primo.
ReplyDeleteI have severe damage in my feet, they hurt 24 hours a day. At home, I'm either barefoot or in a pair if cushy Nike flip flops, most of the time I wear Nike cross trainers a 1/2 size larger and add Spenco running insoles on top of the insole already in the shoe.
ReplyDeleteSanuk sidewalk surfers are the shizzle for me! When working out I have found New Balance MT100 Trail runners are pure heaven. I think you could get away with some Sanuks' in an office environment.
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone for all the comments!! I will be looking into some of these :D
ReplyDeleteI have been getting by wearing some new cushy Nike flip flops that my husband found. They are not exactly work appropriate, but my tennis shoes and cute flats have been bothering me more than usual. Other than my toes getting a little cold in the air conditioning, I have not felt any pain with the flip flops.
ReplyDeleteI would suggest to visit a foot specialist and ask what type of shoes will be best for you and then order your custom shoes to podiatrist.
